Cakes Nouveaux is a small team of talented cake makers and decorators based in the seaside town of
Julie has since worked for Imaginative Icing of York and Scarborough as their head of department, creating many new and innovative cakes for weddings and celebrations in many different styles; traditional, contemporary, fun/fantasy/novelty, and is competent in ALL sugarcraft techniques.
She trained at Thomas Danby College in Leeds and gained a City and Guilds 121 in Design and Decoration of Flour Confectionery (with distinction, and best student performance award) and holds a health and food hygiene certificate.
Julie has also co-authored 2 sugar craft books demonstrating how to create her own designs, Contemporary Wedding Cakes and Classic and Contemporary Christmas Cakes. Both books were published in 2000.
